I am almost halfway to the goal as of today!! SO exciting! For Christmas this year, my sister and I flew out to New York City with our mom, (because we are both obsessed with Broadway) so I have now experienced the culture firsthand!! New Yorkers are beautiful people who are very kind and thoughtful, but they definitely have a busy schedule and places to be!! (: We were in the Manhattan area and everything was very secularly based. There is definitely a need for Jesus there!

I am SO EXCITED to see how God is getting ready to use our team. We have now had 2 meetings as the New York City group alone, and they have been so much fun! I am definitely bonding with a lot of the team, and some of the people who went last year have provided me with wonderful insight on the way of life there. We have been learning about the culture a lot lately. Last meeting, we were put into groups and told to present a certain area in a creative way. (These trips have always pushed me out of my comfort zone, but they are fantastic experience!) My group got Manhattan, which is where we will be heading, and we had a very interesting, incredibly high energy study about all the different cultural aspects of Manhattan, New York.
